A woman walking with two young girls on a sidewalk. The woman is wearing a red sweater, a black vest, and ripped jeans. The girl on the left is wearing a pink jacket and black pants, and the girl on the right is wearing a purple jacket and white pants with colorful hearts. It is daytime, and there are parked cars, trees, and houses in the background.

what’s my why?

this photography business has been a brainchild of mine for many years now. i’ve been creative all my life, but always put that creativity on the back burner. in true eldest daughter fashion, i’ve always done the “smart” thing: i went to college for a STEM degree, got a stable biotech job, and started chipping away at adult life. but that creativity never died off. if anything, it was bursting at the seams trying to find a way out of me. i would dabble non-stop in whatever i felt drawn to at that specific time: calligraphy, creating wedding invitations, re-binding books, and of course photography. and then one day, in true millennial fashion, i woke up and realized the fear of never doing what i love was bigger than the fear of trying. it was time for me to start my photographer journey, and i’m so happy to have you here with me!

who i am

as for who i am: i’m a midwestern-born southern transplant who moved to GA for college (go jackets). i say i’ve traveled the world, but really that means i stayed in cheap hostels and train stations in my early twenties. my favorite place in the world is ireland, and i desperately wanted to live there when i was younger. i got to experience that “love at first sight” feeling when my husband and i met by chance at a mutual friend’s birthday…that was 11 years ago now. we dove headfirst into chaotic house vibes with our three beautiful and spunky daughters and two dumb-but-lovable goldendoodles. i never expected how much i’d love being a mom, but the days i feel most fulfilled are the ones spent making memories with my girls. i’ve realized we as moms and parents don’t talk enough to each other about how hard parenthood is…i love being a safe space to talk about motherhood, parenting & the mental health behind it all. & it’s my life passion to document the special moments we share as families.

these are a few of my favorite things

i’ll travel anywhere with cool and drizzly days…i love stay-in-and-watch-a-movie vibes. i’ve never met a label maker and organization bin i didn’t like. running keeps me sane. i’ve been known to spend insane amounts of time stressing over fonts. i’m a sucker for animals of all kinds…stray cats have a way of finding me even though i’m a total dog person. i love a good craft (and now my girls do too). coffee shop playlists fill my Spotify account. the kitchen is my happy place, and i have an obsession with food & travel shows.
